Do Something Nice for Your Future Self

A couple of years ago I started a personal tradition of doing something nice for my future self. This usually includes picking up something from the end-of-season or holiday clearance rack and putting it away to be discovered the next time that holiday or season comes around.

Last Fall, my husband and daughter helped me plant 98 Spring flower bulbs as something to look forward to after a long, New England winter. Daffodils, tulips, and iris are currently resting in the garden, waiting to wake up and bring us some colorful cheer!

It’s fairly small things, but things that make a difference. If you can think of something nice to do for your future self, give it a try. A happy day will be coming soon, guaranteed!
