Before you walk out the door in the morning, think about making a declaration of what kind of day you intend to have….a positive-thinking day; a productive day; a day of organization and goal-setting; a day of being kind to others; a day of motivation; a day of prayer.
Whatever may presently be your need to continue on a forward path, declare it confidently and frequently throughout the day. At the end of the day, write a brief journal entry of reflection on how your day went. Recognize the positives and the negatives objectively and set a resolve within yourself to learn from your experiences, big and small. Prepare yourself to meet any challenges head on the next day with more wisdom and discernment than you had the day before.
Do not let failures prevent you from picking yourself up, brushing off the dust and moving forward. The way you manage failures is a significant way you define your character. We all have failures, you aren’t the only one. But, accepting responsibility with grace and poise is how you achieve redemption, self respect and respect from others.
For one week, set a daily intention in the morning and write a quick daily reflection each evening. I’ll be surprised if you don’t start seeing things in a new light.
