Pearls

The purpose of a parable was to allow those who were genuinely in search of the holy spirit the ability to interpret the words in the way that was most meaningful to them in that moment. For those in attendance where Jesus spoke for the sole purpose of tying him to an arrestable offense, his words would be indecipherable.

There was and still is no right and wrong interpretation of a parable. It is for the individual to decide what it means to him or her. No one should force their interpretation on another.

I believe this is true of religion in general. Each person has their own personal connection to God. It is a direct line with no layovers. There are no intersections with anyone else, any other thing or any other place. It’s between you and God. For your family member, friend, neighbor, coworker, etc….it’s between God and them.

Jesus loved everyone and believed everyone had the potential to become fully conscious and aware of their connection with God. He wanted people to know how to connect with God and find the Kingdom of Heaven. But, people must choose that path in their heart of their own free will.

Upon making that choice, the [figurative] pearls amass in abundance and your spiritual wealth becomes greater than any earthly treasure.
